There is much variation in the nipple location even in the case of normalbreast. This variation is due to race, age, weight, height, chest girth, and body habitus of individual.
In foreign countries, some cases of measurement have been reported so far, but in Korea not a single report has been found yet.
Therefore, the author measured 381 normal Korean females(nullipara) of ages 15 to 30 in order to find out the average standard nipple location of Korean female.
The result of measuring shows that the majority of nipples are (on the average) 18cm. to 19cm- from the sternal notch, 18cm. to 19cm. below the mid-clavicular point, and 10cm. to 11cm. from the xiphoid process.
